1
যীশু এই সকল কথা কহিলেন; আর স্বর্গের দিকে চক্ষু তুলিয়া বলিলেন, পিতঃ, সময় উপস্থিত হইল; তোমার পুত্রকে মহিমান্বিত কর, যেন পুত্র তোমাকে মহিমান্বিত করেন;

Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you;

যেমন তুমি তাঁহাকে মর্ত্ত্যমাত্রের উপরে কর্ত্তৃত্ব দিয়াছ, যেন, তুমি যে সমস্ত তাঁহাকে দিয়াছ, তিনি তাহাদিগকে অনন্ত জীবন দেন।

even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

আর ইহাই অনন্ত জীবন যে, তাহারা তোমাকে, একমাত্র সত্যময় ঈশ্বরকে, এবং তুমি যাঁহাকে পাঠাইয়াছ, তাঁহাকে, যীশু খ্রীষ্টকে, জানিতে পায়।

This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

তুমি আমাকে যে কার্য্য করিতে দিয়াছ, তাহা সমাপ্ত করিয়া আমি পৃথিবীতে তোমাকে মহিমান্বিত করিয়াছি।

I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you have given me to do.

আর এক্ষণে, হে পিতঃ, জগৎ হইবার পূর্ব্বে তোমার কাছে আমার যে মহিমা ছিল, তুমি সেই মহিমায় তোমার নিজের কাছে আমাকে মহিমান্বিত কর।

Now, Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world existed.

জগতের মধ্য হইতে তুমি আমাকে যে লোকদের দিয়াছ, আমি তাহাদের কাছে তোমার নাম প্রকাশ করিয়াছি। তাহারা তোমারই ছিল, এবং তাহাদের তুমি আমাকে দিয়াছ, আর তাহারা তোমার বাক্য পালন করিয়াছে।

I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your word.
7
এখন তাহারা জানিতে পাইয়াছে যে, তুমি আমাকে যাহা কিছু দিয়াছ, সে সকলই তোমার নিকট হইতে;

Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are from you,
8
কেননা তুমি আমাকে যে সকল বাক্য দিয়াছ, তাহা আমি তাহাদিগকে দিয়াছি; আর তাহারা গ্রহণও করিয়াছে, এবং সত্যই জানিয়াছে যে, আমি তোমার নিকট হইতে বাহির হইয়া আসিয়াছি, এবং বিশ্বাস করিয়াছে যে, তুমি আমাকে প্রেরণ করিয়াছ।

for the words which you have given me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew for sure that I came forth from you, and they have believed that you sent me.
9
আমি তাহাদেরই নিমিত্ত নিবেদন করিতেছি; জগতের নিমিত্ত নিবেদন করিতেছি না, কিন্তু যে সকল আমাকে দিয়াছ, তাহাদের নিমিত্ত; কেননা তাহারা তোমারই।

I pray for them. I don't pray for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.
10
আর আমার সকলই তোমার, ও তোমার সকলই আমার; আর আমি তাহাদিগেতে মহিমান্বিত হইয়াছি।
10
All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them.
11
আমি আর জগতে নাই, কিন্তু ইহারা জগতে রহিয়াছে, এবং আমি তোমার নিকটে আসিতেছি। পবিত্র পিতঃ, তোমার নামে তাহাদিগকে রক্ষা কর—যে নাম তুমি আমাকে দিয়াছ—যেন তাহারা এক হয়, যেমন আমরা এক।

I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.

তাহাদের সঙ্গে থাকিতে থাকিতে আমি তাহাদিগকে তোমার নামে রক্ষা করিয়া আসিয়াছি—যে নাম তুমি আমাকে দিয়াছ—আমি তাহাদিগকে সাবধানে রাখিয়াছি, তাহাদের মধ্যে কেহ বিনষ্ট হয় নাই, কেবল সেই বিনাশ-সন্তান হইয়াছে, যেন শাস্ত্রের বচন পূর্ণ হয়।

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. Those whom you have given me I have kept. None of them is lost, except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

কিন্তু এখন আমি তোমার নিকটে আসিতেছি, আর জগতে এই সকল কথা কহিতেছি, যেন তাহারা আমার আনন্দ আপনাদিগেতে সম্পূর্ণরূপে প্রাপ্ত হয়।

But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.
14
আমি তাহাদিগকে তোমার বাক্য দিয়াছি; আর জগৎ তাহাদিগকে দ্বেষ করিয়াছে, কারণ তাহারা জগতের নয়, যেমন আমিও জগতের নই।

I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15
আমি নিবেদন করিতেছি না যে, তুমি তাহাদিগকে জগৎ হইতে লইয়া যাও, কিন্তু তাহাদিগকে সেই পাপাত্মা হইতে রক্ষা কর।

I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.
16
তাহারা জগতের নয়, যেমন আমিও জগতের নই।

They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.
17
তাহাদিগকে সত্যে পবিত্র কর; তোমার বাক্যই সত্যস্বরূপ।

Sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth.
18
তুমি যেমন আমাকে জগতে প্রেরণ করিয়াছ, তদ্রূপ আমিও তাহাদিগকে জগতে প্রেরণ করিয়াছি।

As you sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into the world.
19
আর তাহাদের নিমিত্ত আমি আপনাকে পবিত্র করি, যেন তাহারাও সত্যই পবিত্রীকৃত হয়।

For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
20
আর আমি কেবল ইহাদেরই নিমিত্ত নিবেদন করিতেছি, তাহা নয়, কিন্তু ইহাদের বাক্য দ্বারা যাহারা আমাতে বিশ্বাস করে, তাহাদের নিমিত্তও করিতেছি;

Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me through their word,
21
যেন তাহারা সকলে এক হয়; পিতঃ, যেমন তুমি আমাতে ও আমি তোমাতে, তেমনি তাহারাও যেন আমাদিগেতে থাকে; যেন জগৎ বিশ্বাস করে যে, তুমি আমাকে প্রেরণ করিয়াছ।

that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me.
22
আর তুমি আমাকে যে মহিমা দিয়াছ, তাহা আমি তাহাদিগকে দিয়াছি; যেন তাহারা এক হয়, যেমন আমরা এক;

The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;
23
আমি তাহাদিগেতে ও তুমি আমাতে, যেন তাহারা সিদ্ধ হইয়া এক হয়; যেন জগৎ জানিতে পায় যে, তুমি আমাকে প্রেরণ করিয়াছ, এবং আমাকে যেমন প্রেম করিয়াছ, তেমনি তাহাদিগকেও প্রেম করিয়াছ।

I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.

পিতঃ, আমার ইচ্ছা এই, আমি যেখানে থাকি, তুমি আমায় যাহাদিগকে দিয়াছ, তাহারাও যেন সেখানে আমার সঙ্গে থাকে, যেন তাহারা আমার সেই মহিমা দেখিতে পায়, যাহা তুমি আমাকে দিয়াছ, কেননা জগৎ পত্তনের পূর্ব্বে তুমি আমাকে প্রেম করিয়াছিলে।

Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25
ধর্ম্মময় পিতঃ, জগৎ তোমাকে জানে নাই, কিন্তু আমি তোমাকে জানি, এবং ইহারা জানিয়াছে যে, তুমিই আমাকে প্রেরণ করিয়াছ।

Righteous Father, the world hasn't known you, but I knew you; and these knew that you sent me.
26
আর আমি ইহাদিগকে তোমার নাম জানাইয়াছি, ও জানাইব; যেন তুমি যে প্রেমে আমাকে প্রেম করিয়াছ, তাহা তাহাদিগেতে থাকে, এবং আমি তাহাদিগেতে থাকি।

I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them."
