1পরে ইয়োব সদাপ্রভুকে উত্তর করিয়া কহিলেন,
1Then Job answered Yahweh,
2আমি জানি, তুমি সকলই করিতে পার; কোন সঙ্কল্প সাধন তোমার অসাধ্য নয়।
2"I know that you can do all things, And that no purpose of yours can be restrained.
3এ কে যে জ্ঞান বিনা মন্ত্রণাকে গুপ্ত রাখে? সত্য, আমি তাহাই বলিয়াছি, যাহা বুঝি নাই, যাহা আমার পক্ষে অদ্ভুত, আমার অজ্ঞাত।
3You asked, 'Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?' Therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I didn't know.
4বিনয় করি, নিবেদন শুন, আমি কিছু বলি; আমি তোমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করি, তুমি বুঝাইয়া দেও।
4You said, 'Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.'
5পূর্ব্বে তোমার বিষয় কর্ণে শুনিয়াছিলাম, কিন্তু সম্প্রতি আমার চক্ষু তোমাকে দেখিল।
5I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees you.
6এই নিমিত্ত আমি আপনাকে ঘৃণা করিতেছি, ধূলায় ও ভস্মে বসিয়া অনুতাপ করিতেছি।
6Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."
7ইয়োবকে এই সকল বলিবার পর সদাপ্রভু তৈমনীয় ইলীফসকে কহিলেন, তোমার প্রতি ও তোমার দুই বন্ধুর প্রতি আমার কোপাগ্নি প্রজ্বলিত হইয়াছে, কারণ আমার দাস ইয়োব যেরূপ বলিয়াছে, তোমরা আমার বিষয়ে তদ্রূপ যথার্থ কথা বল নাই।
7It was so, that after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
8অতএব তোমরা সাতটী বৃষ ও সাতটী মেষ লইয়া আমার দাস ইয়োবের নিকটে গিয়া আপনাদের নিমিত্ত হোমবলি উৎসর্গ কর। আর আমার দাস ইয়োব তোমাদিগের নিমিত্ত প্রার্থনা করিবে; কারণ আমি তাহাকে গ্রাহ্য করিব; নতুবা আমি তোমাদিগকে তোমাদের মূর্খতানুযায়ী প্রতিফল দিব; কেননা আমার দাস ইয়োবের ন্যায় তোমরা আমার বিষয়ে যথার্থ কথা বল নাই।
8Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has."
9তখন তৈমনীয় ইলীফস, শূহীয় বিল্‌দদ ও নামাথীয় সোফর গিয়া সদাপ্রভুর বাক্যানুযায়ী কর্ম্ম করিলেন; আর সদাপ্রভু ইয়োবকে গ্রাহ্য করিলেন।
9So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Yahweh commanded them, and Yahweh accepted Job.
10পরে ইয়োব আপন বন্ধুগণের নিমিত্ত প্রার্থনা করিলে সদাপ্রভু তাঁহার দুর্দ্দশার পরিবর্ত্তন করিলেন; বস্তুতঃ সদাপ্রভু ইয়োবকে পূর্ব্ব সম্পদের দ্বিগুণ সম্পদ দিলেন।
10Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.
11পরে ইয়োবের ভ্রাতা ও ভগিনীরা সকলে এবং পূর্ব্বপরিচিত লোকেরা সকলে তাঁহার নিকটে আসিয়া তাঁহার বাটীতে তাঁহার সহিত ভোজন করিল ও তাঁহার জন্য দুঃখ প্রকাশ করিল, এবং সদাপ্রভু কর্ত্তৃক ঘটিত সমস্ত বিপদের বিষয়ে তাঁহাকে সান্ত্বনা করিল, আর প্রত্যেক জন এক এক খণ্ড কসীতা মুদ্রা ও এক একটী সুবর্ণের কুণ্ডল তাঁহাকে দিল।
11Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.
12আর সদাপ্রভু ইয়োবের প্রথম অবস্থা হইতে শেষাবস্থা অধিক আশীর্ব্বাদযুক্ত করিলেন; তাঁহার চতুর্দ্দশ সহস্র মেষ, ছয় সহস্র উষ্ট্র, এক সহস্র যোড়া বলদ ও এক সহস্র গর্দ্দভী হইল।
12So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.
13আর তাঁহার সাত পুত্র ও তিন কন্যা জন্মিল।
13He had also seven sons and three daughters.
14তিনি জ্যেষ্ঠা কন্যার নাম যিমীমা, দ্বিতীয়ার নাম কৎসীয়া ও তৃতীয়ার নাম কেরণহপ্পূক রাখিলেন।
14He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch.
15ইয়োবের কন্যাগণের তুল্য রূপবতী যুবতী সমস্ত দেশে মিলিত না, এবং তাহাদের পিতা তাহাদের ভ্রাতৃগণের সহিত তাহাদিগকে দায়াধিকার দিলেন।
15In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.
16পরে ইয়োব আর এক শত চল্লিশ বৎসর জীবিত থাকিয়া আপন পুত্র পৌত্রাদি চারি পুরুষ পর্য্যন্ত দেখিলেন।
16After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, to four generations.
17শেষে ইয়োব বৃদ্ধ ও পূর্ণায়ু হইয়া প্রাণত্যাগ করিলেন।
17So Job died, being old and full of days.
