1দেখ, সদাপ্রভু পৃথিবীকে শূন্য করিতেছেন, উৎসন্ন করিতেছেন, উল্টাইয়া ফেলিতেছেন, ও তাহার নিবাসীদিগকে ছড়াইয়া ফেলিতেছেন।
1Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down, and scatters abroad the inhabitants of it.
2এইরূপে প্রজা ও যাজক, দাস ও প্রভু, দাসী ও কর্ত্রী, ক্রেতা ও বিক্রেতা, অধমর্ণ ও উত্তমর্ণ, কুসীদগ্রাহী ও কুসীদদায়ক, সকলে সমান হইবে।
2It shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.
3পৃথিবী শূন্যীকৃত, শূন্যীকৃত হইবে, ও লুটিত, লুটিত হইবে, কেননা সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলিয়াছেন।
3The earth shall be utterly emptied, and utterly laid waste; for Yahweh has spoken this word.
4পৃথিবী শোকান্বিত ও নিস্তেজ হইল, জগৎ ম্লান ও নিস্তেজ হইল, পৃথিবীস্থ লোকদের উচ্চতমেরা ম্লান হইল।
4The earth mourns and fades away, the world languishes and fades away, the lofty people of the earth do languish.
5আর পৃথিবী আপন নিবাসীদের পদতলে অপবিত্র হইল, কারণ তাহারা ব্যবস্থা সকল লঙ্ঘন করিয়াছে, বিধি অন্যথা করিয়াছে, চিরস্থায়ী নিয়ম ভঙ্গ করিয়াছে।
5The earth also is polluted under the inhabitants of it; because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant.
6এই কারণ অভিশাপ পৃথিবীকে গ্রাস করিল, ও তন্নিবাসিগণ দোষী সাব্যস্ত হইল; এই কারণ পৃথিবী-নিবাসীরা দগ্ধ হইল, অল্প লোকই অবশিষ্ট আছে।
6Therefore has the curse devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
7নূতন দ্রাক্ষারস শোকার্ত্ত হইয়াছে, দ্রাক্ষালতা ম্লান হইয়াছে, প্রফুল্লচিত্ত সকলে দীর্ঘনিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করিতেছে।
7The new wine mourns, the vine languishes, all the merry-hearted do sigh.
8ডম্ফের আমোদ নিবৃত্ত হইল, উল্লাসকারীদের কোলাহল শেষ হইল, বীণার আমোদ নিবৃত্ত হইল।
8The mirth of tambourines ceases, the noise of those who rejoice ends, the joy of the harp ceases.
9লোকে আর গান সহকারে দ্রাক্ষারস পান করে না; সুরাপায়ীদের মুখে সুরা তিক্ত লাগে।
9They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to those who drink it.
10উৎসন্নতার নগর ভগ্ন হইয়া পড়িল, সমস্ত গৃহ রুদ্ধ হইল, ভিতরে যাওয়া যায় না।
10The waste city is broken down; every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
11দ্রাক্ষারসের বিষয়ে সড়কে চীৎকার হয়; সমস্ত আমোদ অন্ধকার হইল, দেশের বিলাস নির্ব্বাসিত হইল।
11There is a crying in the streets because of the wine; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
12নগরে ধ্বংস অবশিষ্ট রহিল, পুরদ্বার খণ্ড খণ্ড হইয়া ভাঙ্গিয়া পড়িতেছে।
12In the city is left desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.
13বস্তুতঃ পৃথিবীতে জাতিগণের মধ্যে এইরূপ ঘটনা হইবে; জিত বৃক্ষ ঝাড়িবার ন্যায়, ফল-সংগ্রহ সমাপ্তির পরে দ্রাক্ষাফল চয়নের ন্যায় ঘটিবে।
13For thus shall it be in the midst of the earth among the peoples, as the shaking of an olive tree, as the gleanings when the vintage is done.
14ইহারা উচ্চরব করিবে, আনন্দগান করিবে, সদাপ্রভুর মহিমা প্রযুক্ত ইহারা সমুদ্র হইতে উচ্চধ্বনি শুনাইবে।
14These shall lift up their voice, they shall shout; for the majesty of Yahweh they cry aloud from the sea.
15অতএব তোমরা দীপ্তিদেশে সদাপ্রভুর গৌরব কর, সমুদ্রের উপকূল-সমূহে ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নাম [কীর্ত্তন] কর।
15Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, even the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the isles of the sea!
16আমরা পৃথিবীর প্রান্ত হইতে সঙ্গীত শুনিয়াছি, ‘ধার্ম্মিকেরই নিমিত্ত শোভা’। কিন্তু আমি কহিলাম, আমি ক্ষীণ হইতেছি, আমি ক্ষীণ হইতেছি, আমাকে ধিক্‌। বিশ্বাসঘাতকেরা বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করিয়াছে, হাঁ, বিশ্বাসঘাতকেরা অতিশয় বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করিয়াছে।
16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs: Glory to the righteous. But I said, I pine away, I pine away, woe is me! the treacherous have dealt treacherously; yes, the treacherous have dealt very treacherously.
17হে পৃথিবীনিবাসী, ত্রাস, খাত ও ফাঁদ তোমার উপরে আসিয়াছে।
17Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are on you, O inhabitant of the earth.
18যে কেহ ত্রাসের জনশ্রুতিতে পলাইয়া বাঁচিবে, সে খাতে পড়িবে, যে খাত হইতে উঠিয়া আসিবে, সে ফাঁদে ধরা পড়িবে; কারণ ঊর্দ্ধস্থ বাতায়ন সকল মুক্ত হইল, ও পৃথিবীর মূল সকল কম্পমান হইল।
18It shall happen, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows on high are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.
19পৃথিবী বিদীর্ণ হইল, বিদীর্ণ হইল; পৃথিবী ফাটিয়া গেল, ফাটিয়া গেল; পৃথিবী বিচলিত হইল, বিচলিত হইল।
19The earth is utterly broken, the earth is torn apart, the earth is shaken violently.
20পৃথিবী মত্ত লোকের ন্যায় টলটলায়মান হইবে, টোঙ্গের ন্যায় দুলিবে; আপন অধর্ম্মভারে ভারগ্রস্ত হইবে, পতিত হইবে, আর উঠিতে পারিবে না।
20The earth shall stagger like a drunken man, and shall sway back and forth like a hammock; and the disobedience of it shall be heavy on it, and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21সেই দিন সদাপ্রভু ঊর্দ্ধলোকে ঊর্দ্ধলোকীয় সৈন্যসামন্তকে ও পৃথিবীতে পার্থিব রাজগণকে প্রতিফল দিবেন।
21It shall happen in that day, that Yahweh will punish the host of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.
22তাহাতে তাহারা কূপে একত্রীকৃত বন্দিগণের ন্যায় একত্রীকৃত হইবে, ও কারাগারে বদ্ধ হইবে, পরে অনেক দিত গত হইলে তাহাদের তত্ত্ব লওয়া যাইবে।
22They shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison; and after many days shall they be visited.
23আর চন্দ্র মলিন ও সূর্য্য লজ্জিত হইবে, কেননা বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু সিয়োন পর্ব্বতে ও যিরূশালেমে রাজত্ব করিবেন; এবং তাঁহার প্রাচীনবর্গের সম্মুখে প্রতাপ থাকিবে।
23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Yahweh of Hosts will reign on Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem; and before his elders shall be glory.
