তথায় তিনি এক যজ্ঞবেদি নির্ম্মাণ করিয়া সেই স্থানের নাম এল্-বৈথেল [বৈথেলের ঈশ্বর] রাখিলেন; কারণ ভ্রাতার সম্মুখ হইতে তাঁহার পলায়নকালে ঈশ্বর সেই স্থানে তাঁহাকে দর্শন দিয়াছিলেন।

He built an altar there, and called the place El Beth El; because there God was revealed to him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
