পরে সন্ধ্যাকালে ক্ষেত্র হইতে যাকোবের আগমন সময়ে লেয়া বাহিরে তাঁহার কাছে গিয়া কহিলেন, আমার কাছে আসিতে হইবে, কেননা আমি আপন পুত্রের দূদাফল দিয়া তোমাকে ভাড়া করিয়াছি; তাই সেই রাত্রিতে তিনি তাঁহার সহিত শয়ন করিলেন।

Jacob came from the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, "You must come in to me; for I have surely hired you with my son's mandrakes." He lay with her that night.
