1শিনিয়রের অম্রাফল রাজা, ইল্লাসরের অরিয়োক রাজা, এলমের কদলায়োমর রাজা এবং গোয়ীমের
1It happened in the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, and Tidal, king of Goiim,
2তিদিয়ল রাজার সময়ে ঐ রাজগণ সদোমের রাজা বিরা, ঘমোরার রাজা বির্শা, অদ্‌মার রাজা শিনাব, সবোয়িমের রাজা শিমেবর ও বিলার অর্থাৎ সোয়রের রাজার সহিত যুদ্ধ করিলেন।
2that they made war with Bera, king of Sodom, and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah, Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar).
3ইহাঁরা সকলে সিদ্দীম তলভূমিতে অর্থাৎ লবণসমুদ্রে একত্র হইয়াছিলেন।
3All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (the same is the Salt Sea).
4ইহাঁরা দ্বাদশ বৎসর পর্য্যন্ত কদর্লায়োমরের দাসত্বে থাকিয়া ত্রয়োদশ বৎসরে বিদ্রোহী হন।
4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year, they rebelled.
5পরে চতুর্দ্দশ বৎসরে কদর্লায়োমর ও তাঁহার সহায় রাজগণ আসিয়া অস্তরোৎ-কর্ণয়িমে রফায়ীয়দিগকে, হমে সুষীয়দিগকে, শাবিকিরিয়াথয়িমে এমীয়দিগকে
5In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer came, and the kings who were with him, and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham, and the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim,
6ও প্রান্তরের পার্শ্বস্থ এল-পারণ পর্য্যন্ত সেয়ীর পর্ব্বতে তথাকার হোরীয়দিগকে আঘাত করিলেন।
6and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to Elparan, which is by the wilderness.
7পরে তথা হইতে ফিরিয়া ঐনমিষ্পটে অর্থাৎ কাদেশে গিয়া অমালেকীয়দের সমস্ত দেশকে এবং হৎসসোন-তামর নিবাসী ইমোরীয়দিগকে আঘাত করিলেন।
7They returned, and came to En-mishpat (the same is Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.
8আর সদোমের রাজা, ঘমােরার রাজা, অদ্‌মার রাজা, সবোয়িমের রাজা ও বিলার অর্থাৎ সোয়রের রাজা বাহির হইয়া এলমের কদর্লায়োমর রাজার,
8There went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar); and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim;
9গোয়ীমের তিদিয়ল রাজার, শিনিয়রের অম্রাফল রাজার ও ইলাসরের অরিয়োক রাজার সহিত, পাঁচ জন রাজা চারি জন রাজার সহিত, যুদ্ধ করণার্থে সিদ্দীম তলভূমিতে সেনা স্থাপন করিলেন।
9against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
10ঐ সিদ্দীম তলভূমিতে মেটিয়া তৈলের অনেক খাত ছিল; আর সদোম ও ঘমোরার রাজগণ পলায়ন করিলেন ও তাহার মধ্যে পতিত হইলেন, এবং অবশিষ্টেরা পর্ব্বতে পলায়ন করিলেন।
10Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there, and those who remained fled to the mountain.
11আর শত্রুরা সদোম ও ঘমোরার সমস্ত সম্পত্তি ও ভক্ষ্য দ্রব্য লইয়া প্রস্থান করিলেন।
11They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.
12বিশেষতঃ তাঁহারা অব্রামের ভ্রাতুষ্পুত্র লোটকে ও তাঁহার সম্পত্তি লইয়া গেলেন, কেননা তিনি সদোমে বাস করিতেছিলেন।
12They took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13তখন এক জন পলাতক ইব্রীয় অব্রামকে সমাচার দিল; ঐ সময়ে তিনি ইষ্কোলের ভ্রাতা ও আনেরের ভ্রাতা ইমোরীয় মম্রির এলোন বনে বাস করিতেছিলেন, এবং তাঁহারা অব্রামের সহায় ছিলেন।
13One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. Now he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner; and these were allies of Abram.
14অব্রাম যখন শুনিলেন, তাঁহার জ্ঞাতি ধৃত হইয়াছেন, তখন তিনি আপন গৃহজাত তিন শত আঠার জন অভ্যস্ত দাসকে লইয়া দান পর্য্যন্ত ধাবমান হইয়া গেলেন।
14When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led forth his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan.
15পরে রাত্রিকালে আপন দাসদিগকে দুই দল করিয়া তিনি শত্রুগণকে অাঘাত করিলেন, এবং দম্মেশকের উত্তরে স্থিত হোবা পর্য্যন্ত তাড়াইয়া দিলেন।
15He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16এবং সকল সম্পত্তি, আর আপন জ্ঞাতি লোট ও তাঁহার সম্পত্তি এবং স্ত্রীলোকদিগকে ও লোক সকলকে ফিরাইয়া আনিলেন।
16He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative, Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17অব্রাম কদলায়োমরকে ও তাঁহার সঙ্গী রাজগণকে জয় করিয়া ফিরিয়া আসিলে পর, সদোমের রাজা তাঁহার সহিত সাক্ষাৎ করিতে শাবী তলভূমিতে অর্থাৎ রাজার তলভূমিতে গমন করিলেন।
17The king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (the same is the King's Valley).
18এবং শালেমের রাজা মল্কীষেদক রুটী ও দ্রাক্ষারস বাহির করিয়া আনিলেন, তিনি পরাৎপর ঈশ্বরের যাজক।
18Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of God Most High.
19তিনি অব্রামকে আশীর্ব্বাদ করিলেন, বলিলেন, অব্রাম স্বর্গমর্ত্ত্যের অধিকারী পরাৎপর ঈশ্বরের আশীর্ব্বাদপাত্র হউন,
19He blessed him, and said, "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth:
20আর পরাৎপর ঈশ্বর ধন্য হউন, যিনি তোমার বিপক্ষগণকে তোমার হস্তে সমর্পণ করিয়াছেন। তখন অব্রাম সমস্ত দ্রব্যের দশমাংশ তাহাকে দিলেন।
20and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand." Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21আর সদোমের রাজা অব্রামকে কহিলেন, মনুষ্য সকল আমাকে দিউন, সম্পত্তি আপনার জন্য লউন।
21The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people, and take the goods to yourself."
22তখন অব্রাম সদোমের রাজাকে উত্তর করিলেন, আমি স্বর্গমর্ত্ত্যের অধিকারী পরাৎপর ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে হস্ত উঠাইয়া কহিতেছি,
22Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have lifted up my hand to Yahweh, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
23আমি আপনার কিছুই লইব না, এক গাছি সূতা কি পাদুকার বন্ধনীও লইব না; পাছে আপনি বলেন, আমি অব্রামকে ধনবান্ করিয়াছি।
23that I will not take a thread nor a shoe-latchet nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich.'
24কেবল [আমার] যুবগণ যাহা খাইয়াছে তাহা লইব, এবং যে ব্যক্তিরা আমার সঙ্গে গিয়াছিলেন, আনের, ইষ্কোল ও মম্রি, তাঁহারা আপন আপন প্রাপ্তব্য অংশ গ্রহণ করুন।
24Except only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre: let them take their portion."
