1বেল্‌শৎসর রাজার রাজত্বের তৃতীয় বৎসরে আমি দানিয়েল প্রথম দর্শনের পরে আর এক দর্শন পাইলাম।
1In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.
2আমি দর্শনক্রমে দৃষ্টিপাত করিতে করিতে দেখিলাম, যেন আমি এলম প্রদেশস্থ শূশন রাজবাটীতে আছি; আবার দর্শনক্রমে দেখিলাম, যেন আমি ঊলয় নদীর তীরে আছি।
2I saw in the vision; now it was so, that when I saw, I was in Shushan the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision, and I was by the river Ulai.
3পরে আমি চক্ষু তুলিয়া দৃষ্টিপাত করিলাম, আর দেখ, নদীর সম্মুখে এক মেষ দাঁড়াইয়া আছে, তাহার দুই শৃঙ্গ, এবং সেই দুই শৃঙ্গ উচ্চ, কিন্তু একটী অন্যটী অপেক্ষা অধিকতর উচ্চ; ও যেটী উচ্চতর, সেটী পশ্চাতে উৎপন্ন হইল।
3Then I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
4আমি দেখিলাম, ঐ মেষ পশ্চিম, উত্তর ও দক্ষিণদিকে ঢুঁস মারিল, তাহার সম্মুখে কোন জন্তু দাঁড়াইতে পারিল না, এবং তাহার হস্ত হইতে উদ্ধার করিতে পারে, এমন কেহ ছিল না, আর সে স্বেচ্ছামত কর্ম্ম করিত, আর আত্মগরিমা করিত।
4I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; and no animals could stand before him, neither was there any who could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and magnified himself.
5আমি এই বিষয় বিবেচনা করিতেছিলাম, আর দেখ, পশ্চিমদিক্‌ হইতে এক ছাগ সমস্ত পৃথিবী পার হইয়া আসিল, ভূমি স্পর্শ করিল না; আর সেই ছাগের দুই চক্ষুর মধ্যস্থানে বিলক্ষণ একটা শৃঙ্গ ছিল।
5As I was considering, behold, a male goat came from the west over the surface of the whole earth, and didn't touch the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6পরে দুই শৃঙ্গবিশিষ্ট যে মেষকে আমি দেখিয়াছিলাম, নদীর সম্মুখে দাঁড়াইয়া আছে, তাহার কাছে আসিয়া সে আপন বলের ব্যগ্রতায় তাহার দিকে দৌড়িয়া গেল।
6He came to the ram that had the two horns, which I saw standing before the river, and ran on him in the fury of his power.
7আর আমি দেখিলাম, সে মেষের কাছে আসিল, এবং তাহার উপরে ক্রোধ উত্তেজিত হইল, মেষকে আঘাত করিল, ও তাহার দুই শৃঙ্গ ভাঙ্গিয়া ফেলিল, তাহার সম্মুখে দাঁড়াইবার শক্তি ঐ মেষের আর রহিল না; আর সে তাহাকে ভূমিতে ফেলিয়া পদতলে দলিতে লাগিল; তাহার হস্ত হইতে ঐ মেষটীকে উদ্ধার করে, এমন কেহ ছিল না।
7I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with anger against him, and struck the ram, and broke his two horns; and there was no power in the ram to stand before him; but he cast him down to the ground, and trampled on him; and there was none who could deliver the ram out of his hand.
8পরে ঐ ছাগ অতিশয় আত্মগরিমা করিল, কিন্তু বলবান হইলে পর সেই বৃহৎ শৃঙ্গ ভগ্ন হইল, এবং তাহার স্থানে আকাশের চারি বায়ুর দিকে চারিটী বিলক্ষণ শৃঙ্গ উৎপন্ন হইল।
8The male goat magnified himself exceedingly: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of the sky.
9আর তাহাদের একটীর মধ্য হইতে ক্ষুদ্রতম এক শৃঙ্গ উৎপন্ন হইল, সেটী দক্ষিণ ও পূর্ব্বদিকে এবং দেশরত্নের দিকে অতিশয় বৃদ্ধি পাইতে লাগিল।
9Out of one of them came forth a little horn, which grew exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the glorious land.
10আর সে আকাশমণ্ডলের বাহিনী পর্য্যন্ত বৃদ্ধি পাইল, এবং সেই বাহিনীর ও তারাগণের কিয়দংশ ভূমিতে ফেলিয়া দিল, এবং পদতলে দলিতে লাগিল।
10It grew great, even to the host of the sky; and some of the host and of the stars it cast down to the ground, and trampled on them.
11সে বাহিনীপতির বিপক্ষেও আত্মগরিমা করিল, ও তাঁহা হইতে নিত্য নৈবেদ্য অপহরণ করিল, এবং তাঁহার ধর্ম্মধামস্থান নিপাতিত হইল।
11Yes, it magnified itself, even to the prince of the host; and it took away from him the continual burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
12আর অধর্ম্ম প্রযুক্ত নিত্য নৈবেদ্যের বিরুদ্ধে এক বাহিনী তাহার হস্তে সমর্পিত হইল, এবং সে সত্যকে ভূমিতে নিপাত করিল, এবং কর্ম্ম করিল, ও কৃতকার্য্য হইল।
12The host was given over to it together with the continual burnt offering through disobedience; and it cast down truth to the ground, and it did its pleasure and prospered.
13পরে আমি এক পবিত্র ব্যক্তিকে কথা কহিতে শুনিলাম, এবং যিনি কথা কহিতেছিলেন, তাঁহাকে আর এক পবিত্র ব্যক্তি জিজ্ঞাসা করিলেন, সেই নিত্য নৈবেদ্যের অপহরণ, ও সেই ধ্বংসজনক অধর্ম্ম, দলিত হইবার জন্য ধর্ম্মধামের ও বাহিনীর সমর্পণ সম্বন্ধীয় দর্শন কত লোকের জন্য?
13Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the continual burnt-offering, and the disobedience that makes desolate, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
14তিনি তাঁহাকে কহিলেন, দুই সহস্র তিন শত সন্ধ্যা ও প্রাতঃকালের নিমিত্ত; পরে ধর্ম্মধামের পক্ষে বিচার নিষ্পত্তি হইবে।
14He said to me, To two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
15আমি দানিয়েল এইরূপ দর্শন পাইলে পর তাহা বুঝিবার চেষ্টা করিলাম; আর দেখ, পুরুষাকৃতি এক ব্যক্তি আমার সম্মুখে আসিয়া দাঁড়াইলেন;
15It happened, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, that I sought to understand it; and, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.
16এবং আমি ঊলয়ের [তীর] মধ্য হইতে মনুষ্যের রব শুনিলাম, সেই রব ডাকিয়া কহিল, গাব্রিয়েল, ইহাকে দর্শনের তাৎপর্য্য বুঝাইয়া দেও।
16I heard a man's voice between the banks of the Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17তাহাতে আমি যে স্থানে দাঁড়াইয়া ছিলাম, তিনি সেই স্থানের নিকটে আসিলেন; তিনি আসিলে আমি ত্রাসযুক্ত হইলাম, উপুড় হইয়া পড়িলাম; কিন্তু তিনি আমাকে কহিলেন, হে মনুষ্য-সন্তান, বুঝিয়া লও, কারণ এই দর্শন শেষকাল-বিষয়ক।
17So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was frightened, and fell on my face: but he said to me, Understand, son of man; for the vision belongs to the time of the end.
18যখন তিনি আমার সহিত আলাপ করিলেন, তখন আমি ঘোর নিদ্রায় ভূমিতে উপুড় হইয়া পড়িলাম; কিন্তু তিনি আমাকে স্পর্শ করিয়া স্বস্থানে দাঁড় করাইলেন।
18Now as he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep with my face toward the ground; but he touched me, and set me upright.
19আর তিনি কহিলেন, দেখ, ক্রোধের উত্তরকালে যাহা ঘটিবে, তাহা আমি তোমাকে জানাই, কেননা এ নিরূপিত শেষকালের কথা।
19He said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.
20তুমি দুই শৃঙ্গবিশিষ্ট যে মেষ দেখিলে, সে মাদীয় ও পারসীক রাজা।
20The ram which you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.
21আর সেই লোমশ ছাগ যবন দেশের রাজা, এবং তাহার দুই চক্ষুর মধ্যস্থানে যে বৃহৎ শৃঙ্গ, সে প্রথম রাজা।
21The rough male goat is the king of Greece: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22আর তাহার ভগ্ন হওয়া, ও তৎপরিবর্ত্তে আর চারি শৃঙ্গ উৎপন্ন হওয়া, ইহার মর্ম্ম এই, সেই জাতি হইতে চারি রাজ্য উৎপন্ন হইবে, কিন্তু উহার ন্যায় পরাক্রম-বিশিষ্ট হইবে না।
22As for that which was broken, in the place whereof four stood up, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.
23তাহাদের রাজ্যের উত্তরকালে অধর্ম্মীদের মাত্রা পূর্ণ হইলে ভীষণবদন ও গূঢ়বাক্যবিৎ এক রাজা উৎপন্ন হইবে।
23In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce face, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
24সে বলে পরাক্রান্ত হইবে, কিন্তু নিজ বলে নহে, এবং সে আশ্চর্য্যরূপে বিনাশ করিবে; আর কৃতকার্য্য হইবে, কর্ম্ম সফল করিবে, এবং শক্তিমান্‌দিগকে ও পবিত্র প্রজাদিগকে বিনাশ করিবে।
24His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper and do his pleasure; and he shall destroy the mighty ones and the holy people.
25তাহার কৌশল প্রযুক্ত সে আপন হস্তে চাতুরি সফল করিবে; সে মনে মনে আত্মগরিমা করিবে, ও নিশ্চিন্ত অবস্থাপন্ন অনেককে বিনষ্ট করিবে, এবং অধিপতিগণের অধিপতির বিরুদ্ধে দাঁড়াইবে, কিন্তু সে বিনা হস্তে ভগ্ন হইবে।
25Through his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and in their security shall he destroy many: he shall also stand up against the prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
26আর সন্ধ্যা ও প্রাতঃকালের বিষয়ে কথিত দর্শন সত্য; কিন্তু তুমি এই দর্শন মুদ্রাঙ্কিত কর, কেননা এ অনেক দিনের কথা।
26The vision of the evenings and mornings which has been told is true: but seal up the vision; for it belongs to many days to come.
27আর আমি দানিয়েল কিছু দিন ক্লান্ত ও পীড়িত ছিলাম, তাহার পর উঠিয়া রাজার কর্ম্ম করিলাম; আর সেই দর্শনে চমৎকৃত হইলাম, কিন্তু কেহ তাহা বুঝিল না।
27I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick certain days; then I rose up, and did the king's business: and I wondered at the vision, but none understood it.
