পরে অশূর-রাজ হোশেয়ের চক্রান্ত জানিতে পারিলেন, কেননা তিনি মিসরের সো রাজার নিকটে দূতগণকে প্রেরণ করিয়াছিলেন, এবং বৎসর বৎসর যেমন করিতেন, অশূর-রাজের কাছে তদ্রূপ উপঢৌকন আর পাঠাইলেন না; এই জন্য অশূর-রাজ তাহাকে রুদ্ধ করিলেন, কারাগারে বদ্ধ করিলেন।
World English Bible
The king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
