যথা, যে দিন আমার প্রজা ইস্রায়েলকে মিসর হইতে বাহির করিয়া আনিয়াছি, সেই দিন হইতে আমি আপন নাম স্থাপন জন্য গৃহ নির্ম্মাণার্থে ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত বংশের মধ্যে কোন নগর মনোনীত করি নাই; কিন্তু আমার প্রজা ইস্রায়েলের অধ্যক্ষ হইবার জন্য দায়ূদকে মনোনীত করিয়াছি।

Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be there; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.
