পরে যখন রাজা নিকট দিয়া যাইতে লাগিলেন, সে রাজার কাছে কাঁদিয়া কহিল, আপনার দাস আমি যুদ্ধে গিয়াছিলাম, আর দেখুন, এক ব্যক্তি পার্শ্বে ফিরিয়া আমার নিকটে একটা লোককে আনিয়া কহিল, এই ব্যক্তিকে সাবধানে রাখ; ইহাকে যদি কোন ক্রমে না পাওয়া যায়, তবে ইহার প্রাণের পরিবর্ত্তে তোমার প্রাণ যাইবে, নতুবা তোমাকে এক তালন্ত রৌপ্য দিতে হইবে।

As the king passed by, he cried to the king; and he said, Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man to me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall your life be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.
