পরে শলোমনের নিকটে কেহ এই কথা কহিল, দেখুন, আদোনিয় শলোমন রাজা হইতে ভীত হইয়াছে, কেননা দেখ, সে যজ্ঞবেদির শৃঙ্গ অবলম্বন করিয়াছে, বলিতেছে, শলোমন রাজা আপনার দাসকে খড়্গ দ্বারা বধ করিবেন না, আমার নিকটে অদ্য এই দিব্য করুন।
World English Bible
It was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon; for, behold, he has laid hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.
